Smart reason why Yankees waited to give Luis Severino the MRI that revealed injury

Finally, a dye contrast MRI, otherwise known as an MR arthrogram, found the issue: a partial tear of his ulnar collateral ligament. The remedy: Tommy John surgery, which reconstructs the ligament and will sideline the 26-year-old for 14 to 18 months.
